About Habitat ReStores
In September 1992, the first
Habitat for Humanity ReStore in the U.S. opened its doors in Austin, Texas.
At that time, the Habitat ReStores were known to sell building materials only. Today, with over 600 stores strong in 3 countries and growing, the Habitat ReStores sell everything from household items to furniture to building materials.
"Habitat For Humanity's mission seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of
conscience and action."
